Healthy Start voucher scheme

Healthy Start is a government scheme aimed at improving the health of low-income pregnant women and families on benefits and tax credits. Eligible people are encouraged to register for the scheme online and once registered will receive an account card. The card is topped up automatically with a set amount of credit each week which can be redeemed in supermarkets for milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, for example.
